Who said this?
If your answer is some beat writer from the Boston Globe you are incorrect, if you guessed Coach Belichick you are mistaken. This quote comes from Matt Cassel, a guy that knows on February 3rd he is going to be franchised, and a guy that knows that without the perfect trade for the Patriots he could be riding the bench again next year (Albiet with a 1 year 13 million dollar deal, but still a lot worse than 6 years and 50 million). Let’s keep going with this quote.
“He’s been such a mentor for me that I would say, ‘No, there is no quarterback competition.’ I’ve learned so many things from Tom and, hopefully, it’ll help me in my career.”
Cassel told Comcast SportsNet that he would be open to returning and playing behind Brady.
“If the situation is what it is, then I would accept it and I would continue to do what I have done my entire career, which is work hard, put my best foot forward, and continue to work on the things that I need to and put out my best effort,”
I wonder if he went to the KG school of how to be a teammate.
