Slap Bet Success! Mets handle Business

May 24th, 2010

J-Bay droppin some Sunday Night bombs                 A-Rod continues to amaze with social awkwardness

Well, well, well…didn’t see it happening, and as most Mets fans, I had zero confidence it would happen. But because I’m a Mets fan and I have some balls, I took Arthur up on his “Slap Bet.” And look what happened, the Mets took 2 out of 3, capping the series with a trademark Santana performance, solidified by 2 much needed bombs from Jason Bay, and some ballsy pitching by K-Rod. Winner…Money.

Needless to say, I am going to slap the shit out of Arthur the next time I see him. Maybe I’ll give him all 5 at once, maybe I won’t. Either way it’s not going to feel good. It could be Jimmy Tap time folks. But back to the baseball at hand.

I’m going to keep this short and sweet, but a couple of comments from the weekend’s Subway series.

1. Mike Pelfrey is a God Damn stud. The kid is looking like El Truth. His team has swag when he’s on the mound and they fucking should. Very studly.

2. Johan is still a stud. He had us all wondering a few weeks ago in Philly. But I’m not wondering anymore. Fucking studly as usual.

3. A-Rod celebrates very homosexually, but he didn’t get to do any helmet hunting this weekend at Citi; thank the lord. The guy’s a stud but I wish he didn’t act like such a D-Bag on the field. But he’s a Yankee, so who gives a shit. I did think he was going to take K-Rod deep Sunday night with 2 on and 2 out in the 9th.

4. David Wright stinks. I’m not going to sugar coat it. The guy is awful. The worst. I’m sick to my stomach over it. I was actually mad that Mets fans were wearing his jersey at the game on Friday night.

5. So Yankee fans, its not so fun when your team is playing injured. Even with Jeter, Texiera and A-Rod rounding out the line up, not to even mention Cano, it’s still not enough. Now you know how the Mets only mustered 70 wins last year when all we had was D-Wright. And he stinks. Man he stinks.

Arthur I am going to slap the sit out of you!! Until next time folks…

Let’s Go Yanks

May 21st, 2010

Besides the Slap Bet I have with Money, I don’t really care that much about this weekends series against the Mets. Just another forced rivalry to sell tickets and ad spots. I’m fine wit hit, I just don’t get too excited.

With that said, I didn’t want Money’s “Mets fans are suffering REAL fans” post as the lead item all weekend so… Let’s Go Yanks.

Yankees v Mets – Slap Bet

May 21st, 2010

Today marks the first day of the first Subway Series of the 2010 series. As you may have mentioned, SLT took on a new blogger (Money)… and unfortunately he is a Mets fan. I really need to review credentials in more detail moving forward. Nonetheless, the Yankees are in a slump having just got swept in a 2 game series with the best team in the majors and a horrible splits with the SAWX. Down the 7 train, the Mets are… well… the Mets are the Mets. They suck.

With that said, I would like to propose a bet with Money. This is what I’m thinking:

Slap Bet Montage

How I Met Your Mother | MySpace Video

If the Yankees win I get 5 slaps anywhere/anytime for eternity and vice versa.

So what do you think Money? You in?

***UPDATE*** By “anywhere” I meant any place… not like any location for the slap. You guys are freaks.

How Does Marcus Thames’ Ass Taste?

May 18th, 2010

Let me start this by saying that I think the Red Sox will be back to the top of the AL East come July/August.  But I still thoroughly enjoy seeing them be nothing but mediocre and all this “sabermetrics” bullshit go down the tubes.

Also, Papelbon had like 19 straight saves before going into last night so I won’t say he “sucks” but it was still amazing seeing him get ROCKED last night.  To quote the uber-douche Shaq “Hey Papelbon?  How does A-Rod’s and Thames’ ass taste?”.

1 Down… 100+ To GO

April 7th, 2010

The Yankees won their first game of the season last night and the best part, for me, was Joba’s performance in the 8th inning.  That was vintage Joba and shows why he can be such dangerous pitcher.  I literally messed myself after those two sliders he threw to Drew.

YANKEEEEES WIN!

Absolutely fantastic; the team of the decade. Bookmarked the the decade with World Series wins, four world series appearances in total. POPPIN BOTTLES

World Series 2009

Andy Pettite was absolutely fantastic. All the Yankees needed was 6 decent innings… and he provided.

World Series 2009

A-Rod finally got his ring providing that last piece to make him a viable candidate for G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time)

World Series 2009

Mo said he can, and wants to, do it for another 5 years and who can say that might not be true? He is not human. He throws two pitches and has been for over 10 years and no one can still figure it out. He was over-the-hill in 2004, 2005, 2006, etc but still is the most dominant figure in all of sports. Ever. That’s a lock.

World Series 2009

Whether he deserved it or not, Swisher was a fan favorite this year and certainly added a dimension (along with AJ and Damon) to the clubhouse that allowed the team to relax and just play baseball.

Phuck You Phillies

October 26th, 2009

You haven’t heard much from me about the Yankees because I didn’t want to talk about anything that was so orgasmically special. The World Series starts this Wednesday and the Yankees are playing the Phillies. Here are two videos that came out after the Phillies won the NLCS. Keep in mind that the Phillies won the World Series last year. Come on idiots, act like you’ve been there before:

hahaha… ok. This one is awesome.

Bizzaro World?

October 15th, 2009

I really hope 2009 is not Bizzaro World for MLB AL Playoffs. I mean the Red Sox ALWAYS dominated the Angels and this year three ANGELS made the SAWX look like and NL team. And the Yankees have always gotten smoked by LA, so lets hope the reverse does not happen tomorrow.

Lets Go DODGERS.

Thanks El Nino for the Video

A-Rod

October 7th, 2009

arod

I just couldn’t leave the below post at the top of SLT while the Yankees were starting their playoffs. Everyone should watch out for A-Rod this post season. He is going to squash all the rumors about him being clutch and I can’t wait.

LET’S GO YANKS!

Will the real A-Rod please Stand up

October 7th, 2009

I love this time of year. The weather chills a little so I can now rock my V-Neck shirt with a nice blazer. The brisk air in the morning wakes me up and cool me down. The pumpkin beer and pumpkin muffins make their way back to Heartland Brewery and Starbucks, and of course the real A-Rod starts to play Baseball.

Alex Rodriguez in the Regular Season is like The Black Crows before Kate Hudson, They were a strong rock band, who could put out and album anytime they wanted and sell out any stadium, but then you realize that was a long time ago. Now the Black Crows have broken up, Kate Hudson has ruined another career (matthew mcconaughey) and A-Rod will begin do like he did in ‘05, ‘06 & ‘07 playoffs, which was a batting average of .133, .071 and a stellar .267 (I would put 2008 but of course they did not make the playoffs), with all of 1 RBI in 55 At-Bats during that time.

But hey, at least I can get the pumpkin muffin from Starbuck and read the back of the NY Post where it will say “Where has A-Rod Gone”, or “Not Again”… at least something similar.
