A-Rod – “I leaked the Papi story”

July 30th, 2009

This is so obvious it is not even funny. Obviously A-Hole told someone that Papi and Manny were on the list, or at least I assume. But seriously, is today national shit of Red Sox Nation day, or is it just me? First this story, now we find out Pedroia’s brother gets convicted for blowing some dude and sentenced to jail for child molestation, what is next? Wally The Green monster lets A-Rod give him a reach around?

Pedroia’s brother gets jail time after child molestation conviction

WOODLAND, Calif. —The brother of Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia will serve time in jail after being convicted of child molestation charges.

Prosecutors say Brett Pedroia, 30, was sentenced to one year in jail by a Yolo County judge Wednesday after pleading guilty in April to one count of oral copulation with a minor. Prosecutors were seeking a sentence of eight years in prison.

Yolo County Deputy District Attorney Tiffany Susz says Pedroia’s sentence includes a suspended six-year prison term, with eight years’ probation. If he violates the terms of his probation, Susz says Pedroia will have to serve the prison term.

The brothers grew up in Woodland, a small town outside Sacramento.

Manny & Ortiz connected to 2003 PED’s

July 30th, 2009

So today the times broke the story that Manny & Papai were part of the 104 that tested positive in 2003 PED’s along with Sosa, Segui, Arod ect.. These names keep filtering out and now two of my beloved Red Sox are on the list.

You know how you make this a secondary issue? Trade for Hallady & Victor Martinez.
Nrom NY Times

Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz, the sluggers who propelled the Boston Red Sox to end an 86-year World Series championship drought and to capture another title three years later, were among the roughly 100 Major League Baseball players to test positive for performance-enhancing drugs in 2003, according to lawyers with knowledge of the results.
Skip to next Some of baseball’s most cherished storylines of the past decade have been tainted by performance-enhancing drugs, including the accomplishments of record-setting home run hitters and dominating pitchers. Now, players with Boston’s championship teams of 2004 and 2007 have also been linked to doping.

Baseball first tested for steroids in 2003, and the results from that season were supposed to remain anonymous. But for reasons that have never been made clear, the results were never destroyed and the first batch of positives has come to be known among fans and people in baseball as “the list.” The information was later seized by federal agents investigating the distribution of performance-enhancing drugs to professional athletes, and the test results remain the subject of litigation between the baseball players union and the government.

Five others have been tied to positive tests from that year: Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, Jason Grimsley and David Segui. Bonds, baseball’s career home runs leader, was not on the original list, although federal agents seized his 2003 sample and had it retested. Those results showed the presence of steroids, according to court documents.

The information about Ramirez and Ortiz emerged through interviews with multiple lawyers and others connected to the pending litigation. The lawyers spoke anonymously because the testing information is under seal by a court order. The lawyers did not identify which drugs were detected.

Unlike Ramirez, who recently served a 50-game suspension for violating baseball’s drug policy, Ortiz had not previously been linked to performance-enhancing substances.

Scott Boras, the agent for Ramirez, did not respond to telephone and e-mail messages seeking comment.

Asked about the 2003 drug test on Thursday in Boston, Ortiz shrugged. “I’m not talking about that anymore,” he said. “I have no comment.”

The union has argued that the government illegally seized the 2003 test results, and judges at various levels of the federal court system have weighed whether the government can keep them. The government hopes to question every player on the list to determine where the drugs came from. An appeals court is deliberating the matter, and the losing side is likely to appeal to the United States Supreme Court.

A spokesman for the United States attorney’s office for the Northern District of California, which seized the tests, declined to comment on Thursday. Michael Weiner, the general counsel for the players union, also declined to comment.

One by one, the names of elite players tied to performance-enhancing drugs have surfaced this year. In February, it was Rodriguez and Bonds. In May, it was Ramirez — for the first time. In June, it was Sosa.

Rodriguez had been viewed by some as a clean player who could eventually overtake the career home run record established by Bonds, who had been linked to possible drug use through the federal investigation. Rodriguez subsequently admitted that he used a performance-enhancing substance from 2001 to 2003.

The Times reported in June that Sosa was among those who tested positive in 2003, the first time he had been publicly tied to performance-enhancing drugs. Sosa became a national figure with the Chicago Cubs in 1998, when he and Mark McGwire of the St. Louis Cardinals engaged in a celebrated race to overtake Roger Maris’s single-season home run record of 61. McGwire’s image suffered tremendously when, at a Congressional hearing in 2005, he refused to answer questions about steroid use.

By 2003, Ramirez had long since established himself as one of baseball’s best hitters. Ortiz, however, was far lesser known. In 2002, the Minnesota Twinseffectively cut him after failing to trade him. He signed a bargain contract with the Red Sox and began the 2003 season as a backup.

Ortiz quickly blossomed, setting new personal highs in home runs (31) and runs batted in (101). He surpassed those numbers in each of the next four seasons.

Ramirez, with his dreadlocks and quirky behavior, and Ortiz, with his gregarious personality and portly build, formed a dynamic tandem on and off the field. They seemed to feed off each other — not to mention demoralize opponents — by hitting back-to-back in the heart of the lineup.

In 2004, they helped the Red Sox overcome a 3-0 series deficit against the Yankeesin the American League Championship Series. The Red Sox then swept the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series to end decades of heartbreak in Boston. Ortiz had a game-winning home run and a game-winning hit against the Yankees and was named the most valuable player of that series. Ramirez was named the World Series M.V.P. after going 7 for 17 at the plate with a home run.

Three years after winning that first title, Ramirez and Ortiz returned Boston to another World Series, where they defeated the Colorado Rockies.

The pairing was split last season when the Red Sox traded Ramirez to the Los Angeles Dodgers after team officials grew concerned that he was not playing hard in response to a contract dispute. In Los Angeles, Ramirez took off again, becoming popular among the fans and leading the Dodgers to the playoffs.

But Ramirez’s hero status in Los Angeles took a hit in May when he was suspended after baseball officials learned that he had been prescribed a fertility drug often used by bodybuilders after they stopped using steroids. When Ramirez was suspended, he issued a statement that appeared to maneuver around his 2003 test results.

“I do want to say one other thing,” Ramirez said. “I’ve taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons.”

That five-year period extended back to 2004, which excludes the 2003 test.

Since returning from his suspension, Ramirez has been widely accepted by the home fans. In 48 games this season, he has compiled a .327 average and has hit 11 home runs.

Ortiz, meanwhile, has been in a sharp decline. He had an operation on his wrist last year and missed nearly a third of the season. He started this year in a slump and did not hit his first home run until a month and a half into the season. Since June 1, however, he has hit 12 more home runs.

In 2007, Ortiz said that he used to buy a protein shake in the Dominican Republic when he was younger and did not know if it contained a performance-enhancing drug.

“I don’t do that anymore because they don’t have the approval for that here, so I know that, so I’m off buying things at the GNC back in the Dominican Republic,” Ortiz told The Boston Herald. He added: “I don’t know if I drank something in my youth, not knowing it.”

In February, he said that players who tested positive for steroids should be suspended for an entire season — about 100 games more than the current policy requires for a first offense.

LB-GAY UPDATE

July 9th, 2009

The dude is such a puss, it is unbelievable bron bron how does A-rod’s ass taste?

The guy who got the tape stolen from him was on a podcast, here is a bit of the transcript.

Ryan Miller: [The dunk] was good. I haven’t looked online to read too much about it. It was as good as it could’ve been hyped up to be. LeBron’s team actually lost two out of three games to these college guys. It was LeBron; Danny Green, the rookie; Christian Eyenga, the rookie; Tarence Kinsey, who’s on the team; and one of LeBron’s high school buddies. And Jordan Crawfordblew by Danny Green, the kid from North Carolina on the Cavs. And LeBron came for some help defense, and they jumped at the same time, and he threw it down with two hands over LeBron. This is, like, a 6-foot-4 kid.

Interviewer: Man. So then, when you get word that they want your camera, then, how did that all break down?

Miller: It’s funny because LeBron’s team won that game, actually, [the one] with the dunk. And then LeBron’s team lost the next game to the same group of college guys. And LeBron was just standing there, grabbing some water, ’cause it was winners stay on, so LeBron had to sit out a game. And I actually went up and introduced myself and said, “Hey, I’m Ryan Miller.” LeBron’s good friends with Jonny Flynn, and I know Jonny real well, and I was like, “[I'm] good friends with Jonny.” Jonny gave me a little message to tell LeBron if I ended up seeing him. He’s like, “Oh, where are you from?” I said, “Syracuse” — [it was a] “nice to meet you” type of thing. He’s pretty friendly. Then two minutes later, I saw him go over to Lynn Merritt, the director of basketball at Nike, and then he was talking to him for a second, and then Lynn brought me and another camera guy over. We were the only two people filming — it was later at night — and they said, we need your tape. They claimed you weren’t supposed to be shooting the college and the pro guys working out, and I was told earlier in the day that you could, and there was no media policy saying you couldn’t. It had to have been because LeBron — he played terribly all day, actually. Those three games he played terribly. So my guess is he didn’t want anybody seeing the footage. That’s the only thing we could think of.

Interviewer: So when you get your camera or tape — so that tape is gone?

Miller: I don’t know what happened to it. He originally claimed, well, like, these guys are just getting in shape right now, these Cavs guys. People don’t need to be seeing ‘em. He was kind of giving me the runaround with different excuses. There was a guy in charge of the media who took my tape, and he’s like, “You know what, lemme just pass this by the Nike guys, and I’ll give it back to you in the morning.” But the next morning, he said the director at Nike actually wanted the tape himself, so I have no idea where it is.

LB-Gay Vs. A-Rod

July 8th, 2009

I apologize in advance.

What a fucking pussy LBJ is.  Mark my words, we have the second coming of A-Rod on our hands. This guy is so god dam concerned about his image.  I can not wait until 6 years from now when he is in NY and has won zero championships. Him and A-rod will be going out and giving the Eiffel tower to Kate Hudson at 36 while they kiss themselves in the mirror and stare at there pecks. What a fraud.

There are just some things you have to cope with.. You finish early you finish early, you get pee’d on you get pee’d on, you get dunked on you get dunked on.. JUST MOVE ON

New nickname LB-GAY

AKRON, Ohio You want to see video of Xavier’s Jordan Crawford dunking on LeBron James? If so, too bad. Because you’re not going to see it. Thanks to Nike. Turns out, there were at least two cameras rolling Monday night when Crawford dunked on James during a pick-up game here at the LeBron James Skills Academy. It was a two-handed jam, the kind that would’ve circulated quickly on YouTube. But Nike officials eliminated that possibility shortly after the dunk happened by allegedly confiscating tapes from various cameramen. Freelance photographer Ryan Miller was one of the cameramen shooting the game. He told CBSSports.com that Nike Basketball Senior Director Lynn Merritt took his tape. Worth noting is that there is no policy against filming at the LeBron James Skills Academy, and Miller said he had been filming all day without incident. Nobody ever told him to stop. Nobody ever said there was a problem … until after Crawford dunked on James. LeBron called Lynn over and told him something,” Miller said. “That’s how I knew his name was Lynn. LeBron said, ‘Hey, Lynn. Come here.’” Minutes later, Miller said Merritt demanded his tape. “He just said, ‘We have to take your tape,’” Miller said. “They took it from other guys, too.” “There’s nothing I can think of besides LeBron just not wanting it online,” Miller said. “It’s a good story to tell people, I guess. But then again, I’m kind of pissed. I lost my tape.”

Hockey is all White

June 29th, 2009

it is kind of sad but this video is somewhat true. It is by Ryan Parker and called “Black Guys Don’t Play Hockey,” .

After finding his site I found this other song called “the two A-Rods” which is just fantastic.

“And when Roger or Red Sox come looking for them,
They both seem to know how to choke,”

Great line, just a great line

1 City + 4 Teams = 1 TRUE NATION

June 24th, 2009

if you have any tips, links, videos or anything that we may find amusing email us at someloosethoughts@gmail.com

See everyone always talks about the “Red Sox nation”, but to be honest with you we are one city, we are 1 New England. This is the difference between NY teams and Boston teams. i do not see A-Roid, Jeter, Mark Sanchez & Steve Avery getting stage at a concert together. But what you do see is Kenny Chesney bringing Tedy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel, Mike Timlin, Tim Wakefield and Jacoby Ellsbury on stage at a recent Gillete Stadium concert, and the place went bananas. hell I do not even see A-Fraud inviting any of his team mates out to clubs with him. He saves that for beat up 5 years past their prime celebritie girls.

Boggs: A-Roid is Unamerican

June 22nd, 2009

Thank god for Wade Boggs. I mean I hate the guy, he left the Sox and went to the Yankees, but he went for money and a championship so I guess I do not really HATE him. But he has been on a tour de force in Boston doing Coors Light promotions, and has been reportedly getting hammered at every event. But the other night during a Q & A he said anyone that does steroids is “unamericana and apple pie” (or something like that), which literally makes no sense, but one can assume he was talking about A-ROID, or A-FAUD, or A-I-GET-BENCHED-FOR-FATIGUE-AND-GO-OUT-WITH-KATE-HUDON-TILL-3AM.. Whatever name you want to call him is fine by me.

Ladies and Gentleman your 2009 NY Yankees

June 15th, 2009

It must be really hard to be a Yankee fan. The team is filed with a bunch of over paid A-Holes who only care about themselves and kissing themselves in the mirror.

Did you hear the one about Yankees hurler A.J. Burnett getting hurled out of the Barnes & Noble in the Prudential Center for swearing on his cell phone?

Well, don’t say we told you so but . . . according to our spies in the stacks, Burnett was in the bookstore the morning after his particularly putrid outing at Fenway Park [map] on Tuesday night.

Burnett, who was chased from the game before the end of the third inning in what became a 7-0 rout of the Bronx Bombers – was talking loudly on his cell phone inside the store, according to Someone Who Knows.

“He was swearing and stuff and the security guard went over and told him to quiet down because there were kids around,” said our snitch.

Well, A.J. didn’t. So the security guard – who was described to us as an “elderly gentleman” – told him to hit the road. Vacate the premises. Hasta la vista, baby.

Apparently early exits are getting to be a habit for the Pinstripes’ alleged ace!

We rang up the Yankees to inquire as to whether they’d like to make any kind of a comment on the situation.

“Ah, no,” said the Bombers’ spokesguy.

A Barnes & Noble manager also declined to address the matter.

However, the security guard told a couple of customers after the fact that he was aware that Burnett had stunk it up the night before but, “he shouldn’t take it out on the kids.”

File Under: Yer Out.

Oh and then Girardi and his team of idiots are complaining to league office about Penny’s thorwing at A-rod.. I think everyone in the world knew A-Rod was going to get hit… eveyrone thank Joba..

As for Penny hitting A-Rod, the Yankees feel as if there should be discipline. A.J. Burnett is appealing his suspension for throwing over the head of Texas’ Nelson Cruz. Though there was no previous warning and Burnett remained in the game, he received a six-game suspension.

“It seems like there is always the feeling that if someone intentionally throws at someone they are going to be suspended,” Girardi said. “I don’t care for it. I don’t care for hitting him in that situation. That’s my opinion. I’m not 100 percent right, for sure, that he threw at him on purpose. That’s my feeling. That’s up to the commissioner’s office.”

Next thing you know they will moves the fences in… oh wait

How much did A-Rod pay?

June 3rd, 2009

I wonder how much a-rod paid Mary Carey to bang Melky to interview Melkey Cabrera in a hotel room, presumably drunk, with their shirts off.  You have to believe he did right, I mean anything to get the attention of of him and the one upon a time gorgeous Kate Hudson (pre-Matthew McConaughey, that dude just ruins girls).

Some of the riveting questions ex-Porn Star and now political starlet Mary Carey asked:

Do you like Peanuts because they sell them at baseball games?

Are you guy? Is A-Rod gay? Where you two gay in the Dominican Republic?

Did you see ASSononomous where 4 dudes did me in the butt? (ok I made that up, but I saw it)
