Hurricane’s Hockey Talk
February 5th, 2009
So I am not the biggest hockey fan ever but I have been following the Boston Bruins my whole life, and now with them back in the limelight I decided to show the SLT world why they are just so good, and by good I mean probably playing the best 5 on 5 hockey in the NHL and one of the tougher teams in the league. Here are some stats:
| GOALS AGAINST AVG. | GAA | |
![]() Manny Fernandez |
1. Manny Fernandez, BOS | 2.07 |
| 2. Tim Thomas, BOS | 2.08 | |
| 3. Steve Mason, CLS | 2.09 | |
| 4. Jonas Hiller, ANH | 2.17 | |
| 5. Niklas Backstrom, MIN | 2.20 | |
| SAVE PERCENTAGE | SV% | |
![]() Tim Thomas |
1. Tim Thomas, BOS | .934 |
| 2. Craig Anderson, FLA | .929 | |
| 3. Manny Fernandez, BOS | .928 | |
| 4. Niklas Backstrom, MIN | .927 | |
| 5. Nikolai Khabibulin, CHI | .925 | |
| PLUS/MINUS | +/- | |
![]() Dennis Wideman |
1. Dennis Wideman, BOS | 32 |
| 2. Blake Wheeler, BOS | 31 | |
| 3. David Krejci, BOS | 29 | |
| 4. Marc Savard, BOS | 27 | |
| 5. Travis Zajac, NJ | 26 | |
So the Bruins have the best two goaltender’s in the league and have 4 of the top 5 (5 of top 6) in plus minus, which in hockey is a huge statistic. oh and not to mention 20 year old stud Milan Lucic is not only a fighter, he is not only 4th in the league in hits, he is a scorer as well with 11 in the back of the net and 17 assists to go with that. Anyone think he is going to be a player?
