How Does Marcus Thames’ Ass Taste?

May 18th, 2010

Let me start this by saying that I think the Red Sox will be back to the top of the AL East come July/August.  But I still thoroughly enjoy seeing them be nothing but mediocre and all this “sabermetrics” bullshit go down the tubes.

Also, Papelbon had like 19 straight saves before going into last night so I won’t say he “sucks” but it was still amazing seeing him get ROCKED last night.  To quote the uber-douche Shaq “Hey Papelbon?  How does A-Rod’s and Thames’ ass taste?”.

Bizzaro World?

October 15th, 2009

I really hope 2009 is not Bizzaro World for MLB AL Playoffs. I mean the Red Sox ALWAYS dominated the Angels and this year three ANGELS made the SAWX look like and NL team. And the Yankees have always gotten smoked by LA, so lets hope the reverse does not happen tomorrow.

Lets Go DODGERS.

Thanks El Nino for the Video

Yankees Win Division/Home Field Advantage

September 28th, 2009

85133511JM025_BOSTON_RED_SO

Yesterday, the Yankees completed a sweep of the Boston Red Sox and clinched not only the AL East but home field advantage throughout the playoffs.  That and a quarter can get you a rub and tug in Thailand.  While you would rather have home field advantage than not, if the Yankees do not make the World Series it means as much as a bag of crap on your doorstep.  Everyone is saying the right things in the clubhouse but the only thing to do now is take the long division series, put Joba in the bullpen for the ALDS, set up the rotation and win.

Wah Boston Fans…

August 24th, 2009

joshbeckettnyyfans21508

Why is it that whenever the Beckett loses Boston fans have to come up with some excuse?  Beckett is a great pitcher but every pitcher loses.  His last start it was because Beckett and Victor Martinez weren’t “flowing” and now last night it was because he is injured.  Deal with it Boston fans.

Also, what’s the deal with all this talk lately about pitchers not throwing good games because of their catchers?  First it was Beckett/Martinez then this weekend it was Posada/Burnett.  How much does it actually matter who the catcher is?  I am sure it can affect a pitcher, but that much?  I don’t buy it.  To quote El Capitan (who is playing out of his mind): “It’s up to the pitcher to throw the pitch he wants.”

Do the Red Sox NEED to Trade for Halladay?

July 30th, 2009

roy-halladay-toronto-blue-jays1

The AL playoff race is FAR from over but with two months to play do the Red Sox HAVE to trade for Halladay to have a chance this year? As a Yankees fan, I would literally punch myself in the nuts if the Sox sign Halladay but I think they don’t really have any choice. Smoltz sucks (1 – 4 with 7.04 ERA) and Dice-K, as discussed on Barstool Sports yesterday, is bitching about how the Red Sox are making him train and that it the reason he is on the DL with a 1-5 record and 8.23 ERA in 2009.

I am loving the state of the two above pitchers and obviously don’t WANT the Sox to sign Halladay… but how can they not make a HUGE move for him?

Wait a minute… forget I said anything. Smoltz will be fine and Dice-K will turn it around. You hear me Theo?

An A-BOMB… by A-ROD

July 20th, 2009

Mariners Yankees Baseball

I have seen way too much Boston on this site and I need to start stepping it up for our Yankee Faithful.  With that said, I wanted to share a nice stat I read today.  A-Rod, who has played in 61 games so far this year, has 19 homeruns… great right?  Well, of those 19, 10 have either tied the game or given the Yankees the lead.  BAM!

After a SPECTACULAR start by Joba the Hutt yesterday, the Yankees are ready to rock for the second half of the season.  Twitering buffon John Henry better watch his team’s back.

AL East Standings – 3 Games Before Break

July 10th, 2009

If you have any tips, links, videos or anything that we may find amusing email us atsomeloosethoughts@gmail.com

YANKEES RED SOX

3 Games before the All-Star Break and the Yankees and Red Sox are tied on top of the AL East.  Assuming that neither team sweeps, we will be heading to the second half of the 09 baseball season with a 1 game difference in the standings.  This is when baseball gets just absolutely fantastic.  We can no longer say “it’s early”… we can no longer use injuries as an excuse… we can no longer say “don’t worry about it Sully, Smoltz will turn it around and be fantastic”.

So let’s just get through the pointless All-Star game and subsequent festivities and get ready for the second half of the greatest sport in the country.

What to do?

June 17th, 2009

Not sure if you heard, but Arthur (below) broke news that Jeter tested positive for roids. That is pretty big news to not write a full blog about, but he does him.. In completely unrelated news I did not die last night of erotic asphyxiation as Arthur would ALSO lead you to believe. I almost feel like he is just making shit up..

Anyway, back to the point of what to do.. And no that is not a question about Megan Fox or  Michael J. Fox. It is about what the Red Sox should do about their pitching.. Lets see:

1a) Beckett – Just plain nasty
1B) Lester – survived cancer
3)Wake (9-4) – 42 years old
4) Penny – Hit A-Rod last week, he cried
5) Dice/Smoltz/Buckholz/Masterson/Boden

Hmmm this is a tough one.. I would go with a 8 man rotation.

Fine. This Made Me Laugh

June 11th, 2009

While I think that Red Sox fans are the most obnoxious in all of sports, this “You Do Steroids” chant while A-Rod was up in the 9th last night was pretty hilarious.

Hurricane’s take:

I salute you 36,784 Fenway faithful for standing on your feet and letting the world know who does steroids! A-ROID does Steroids! Also if you don’t think I was giving Ortiz a Standing ovation when he popped out in the 8th you are mistaken. Boston loves Papi and Papi loves us. We are all in this slump together and we will all fight out of it.. Side note, 0-3, no K’s and 2 walks.. I will take it..

Where Do We Put Our Wang?

June 11th, 2009

wangyankees

The biggest question facing the new York Yankees right now is NOT how do we comeback from losing two straight at Fenway. The Red Sox are one of the best teams in the league with the biggest home field advantage.  So a tip for every Yankees fan: STEP OFF THE EDGE. We are one game back in JUNE (remember everyone, the baseball season goes to September) and we have CC pitching tonight against Penny. Yankees win tonight and back to tied for first… as Freddie says: RELAX.

The only question that came out of last nights game (other than how did Swisher miss that catch) is where do we put our Wang? Now, this usually is an easy question (for Hurricane the answer is a bit different depending on his spotter status) but Girardi, Cashman and Eiland have some huge decisions to make.

Personally, I think Wang deserves one more start before sending him to god knows where and letting Hughes become a starter again. The thing is, you can’t have a sinker ball pitcher coming in for set-up so where do you put him if he sucks it up again?
